Radical modernist: Dan Friedman, 1945-1995
Article Abstract:
Artist, graphic designer and professor Daniel Friedman died of AIDS at the age of 49 on July 5, 1995. Friedman designed posters and graphic aids for many corporations and organizations, working at the beginning and end of his career for design firms in the US and Britain. He also circulated in academia, teaching during the 1970's at Yale and Cooper Union Universities. His most prestigious achievements include his development of the "new typography", the design of the first visual arts university program, and the work of art criticism, Radical Modernism.

The Arch, finished after years is 63-stories high and symbolizes the city's importance as a gateway for the exploitation by whites of the West. Several unique museums are there.
