The publishing industry needs to realize that the new community of blogosphere offers a useful and unique opportunity to have a discussion with a targeted audience, however, the very nature of the blogosphere makes it difficult to approach from a traditional marketing standpoint. Hence, publishers need to alter their marketing campaigns and tactics in order to penetrate this new space, targeting specific interest-sites with like-minded titles and authors.
