When friends turn foes: once the "favored son," Dnevi Avaz now fights with the authorities for editorial independence

Bosnia-Herzegovina's major newspaper, Dnevni Avaz, was accused of tax evasion by evidence allegedly found by the tax police on Jun 6, 2000. The newspaper does not accept the charges and will not pay the approximately $500,000 in taxes and penalties.
