Article Abstract:
The global food industry, although not as high-tech as pharmaceuticals, microchips and medical equipment, boasts a steady, sustained growth. However, the industry still invests time and money on R&D efforts and in keeping track of changes brought about by the worldwide growth in population and income. In order to be successful in the global market, companies must cope with transportation costs, quality control and maintenance of good distribution networks.
