Canadian Markets Expect Turnaround during 1984

Article Abstract:

Tenants and buyers will enjoy an increasingly strong position in Canada in 1984. Businesses experienced an upswing, as has consumer demand. Construction of commercial property will continue to be limited. Findings of the A.E. Le Page 1984 Market Survey show that the development of adequate office space in Calgary and Edmonton are linked closely to the economics of Canada's oil industry. There is a significant amount of vacancy in Canada. Montreal has a difficult office space problem. Industrial real estate is the last market segment to recover.

The star of Bethlehem

Article Abstract:

The existence of an unusually bright star that appeared around the birth of Jesus Christ, according to the New Testament book of Matthew, continues to be debated. Astronomers have approximated a conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter that could have accounted for such an appearance, and a comet or a nova are other possibilities. Some scholars feel the Matthew account was taken from other, earlier sources. However, some Christians prefer to regard this star as a supernatural event.
