Article Abstract:
Third-party distribution contractors in Britain are having to improve value-for-money on services to survive in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Clients expect additional services such as door-to-door delivery and package returns without always offering extra payment. Industry observers have noted that some clients are adopting in-house distribution systems in preference to employing third party contractors. Other aspects are discussed.
