Buy Ohio boosts holiday shopping

The Ohio Dept of Development and the Buy Ohio Program launched the 'Ohio Holiday Travel/Shopping Packet' last Christmas 1992 featuring a specific holiday calender of events and gift ideas from Buy Ohio's guide to locally made products. The public relations campaign helped retailers increase their 4th qtr 1992 sales. The campaign will be repeated in 1993 and is forecasted to include about 100 Ohio-based companies.

Second trade mission set for Europe

Article Abstract:

Ohio Gov George V. Voinovich is set to go on a second trade mission on Apr 14 to 30, 1993 to visit Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Czechoslovakia and Germany. The trade mission hopes to intoduce Ohio companies to international markets and expand the business of those already with international economic ties. Voinovich is also wants to show the state's commitment as an active international trade partner.
