The top 20 biggest job generators in 1999 are ranked, with Sabre Group's new headquarters in Southlake, Texas, ranked first with 9,000 employees. The top 20 biggest deals in 1999 are ranked by total square footage, with North Hollywood Studio Complex in North Hollywood, California, ranked first, with 2,800 square feet.

The proposed North American Free Trade Agreement among the US, Canada and Mexico offers benefits to all three countries. It enables a vast array of site-selection opportunities for competitive companies in terms of available labor force assets. Key labor force issues, including educational attainment, compensation levels and labor legislation are discussed.
