Islands of opportunity

Article Abstract:

The leasing of office buildings in the centre of Bristol, England, is showing signs of improvement with a 47% increase in the take-up of space in 1996 compared to 1995. Office buildings in Bristol have been spread throughout the city but the Harbourside and Temple Quay development areas should centralize office development. It is planned that the Harbourside will house several leisure attractions and some 650,000 sq ft of office space and Temple Quay may include a 50,000 sq ft office building. Secondhand offices are being converted into housing for students.
