Labor loosens up
Article Abstract:
Many US firms are still looking to recruit highly skilled staff, despite the economic slowdown. It is anticipated that 900,000 new information technology jobs will be created in 2001, of which 425,000 will not be filled because of a lack of qualified applicants. Downsizing means that some firms are losing their most experienced employees.
