Launch pad to Europe: the Snap-on story

Snap-On Tools establishment of a manufacturing facility in the Basque country was initiated by the need of Basque tool manufacturer Eurotools for foreign investments. Eurotool sought the help of trade promotions agency SPRI in finding an investor which will help the company regain profitability and foreign distributorship. Snap-On Tools grabbed the opportunity and forged a partnership with Eurotool, later acquiring the whole company. Eurotools partnership with Snap-On has increased the company's sales to $60 mil.

A comparison is made between Philadelphia and its Central Business, known as Center City to examine the divergence of market and sub-market conditions. Further the residential market in Philadelphia and its downtown is analyzed and the data is compared with national figures as well as figures from Philadelphia's major northeast competitors that are Washington, D.C., Baltimore, New York, and Boston.
