New Labour, newly lovable
Article Abstract:
The majority of property agents attending the annual BPAA/Estates Gazette conference in Bristol, England, in Oct 1997 expressed the view that the UK's new Labour government will not introduce policies which damage the property industry. Some observers believe that the industry will benefit from the release of 1 billion pounds sterling of council house receipts funding. However, others believe that the government could damage the property industry, especially with higher taxes on wealth and the environment.
