Pathway for the Park

Article Abstract:

Distribution space dominates the first phase of 37.2 ha at Hatfield Business Park in Hatfield, England. On the south side of the development, most of the offices constructed for BAe but never occupied have now been let. A two-stage process will now be implemented to determine in the park's future. The first stage is intended to broadly indicate a range of uses, while the second stage will involve a land-use plan. This will probably indicate commercial uses, but also public open space, retailing and housing.

Strategic proposal

Article Abstract:

There is a growing shortage of land for both office and industrial development in and around Warrington, England. This is putting increasing pressure on the Commission for the New Towns to release land at the 470 acre Omega site. There have been a number of deals involving speculatively built space in the town recently, but there were no major lettings in the first five months of 1997. The property market in Runcorn is gradually improving, while infrastructure works will have a positive impact on Widnes.
