The new value-added service imperative

Article Abstract:

Koll Real Estate Services is one of the prime examples of firms which realized the potential of its divisions to offer value-added services to customers. Koll formed the Koll College after Koll's human resources manager Lynda Lane conceived of a plan with which to make the division's services significant to the whole firm. Koll College's initial training program that was targeted for the Koll organization was soon spun-off as an independent, becoming a profit center for Koll. Koll College''s training services continues to be exploited in its new association with CB Commercial Real Estate Services Group, which acquired Koll Real Estate in 1997. Koll College continues to provide training services as well as other human resource-related services to other firms.
