Working towards a more flexible attitude
Article Abstract:
Property experts suggest the future for business parks will be to make them into mixed use developments. The UK government is demanding a cut in car-parking spaces in the workplace therefore business parks must be designed to incorporate the government's new policies. Some observers point out the government has to ensure public transport is also in place. Other observers point out businesses will be looking for more flexible buildings. The owners of one new development, Green Park, on the outskirts of Reading, England, hope to have a railway link to their business park.

Outside chance
Article Abstract:
Cirencester is experiencing a growth in the demand for offices particularly those over 3,000 sq ft. The centre of Cirencester is not suitable for large multiple stores although the construction a small 18,000 sq ft shopping centre is being considered. The local authorities intend to help relieve traffic congestion by the completion of an widened A419 roadway and by introducing ways to cut the number of cars in the town centre. Local shop owners have protested at the development of retail areas on the outskirts of town although two large supermarkets have been opened.
