Article Abstract:
It will take at least four years for the members of the Philadelphia Orchestra to adjust to the acoustics of the new Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, according to Artec Consultants founder Russell Johnson. He bears the main responsibility for the acoustics of this building. His aim was to construct a hall with an overall sound that would be acceptable to both musicians and audiences.

Johnson is a well-known architect whose clients are usually the wealthy locals of Philadelphia. His specialty is designing grand shore homes usually along the southern end of Longport, PA. His latest project was a house built with glass floors and Italian limestone.
