The main focus is made on a way of conceptualizing the arc of Lewis Nordan's career to date as a fiction writer, his development from short story writer to novelist, is to be offered. To describe the progression in terms that has both stylistic and philosophical implications, the ideas of two theorists, Albert Murray and Kenneth Burke are used.
