A woman writer reminisced about the life of her beloved grandmother in the Main Line area of Philadelphia from the 1960s when she arrived up to her recent death. Her grandmother, who was a former model from New York, was adored by the Main Line crowd for her warmth and cheerful presence.

Garden store Waterloo Gardens in Philadelphia, PA, was founded in 1942 by James Paolini. He retired in 1972 and sold the business to his daughter Linda and her husband, Roberts LeBoutillier. It is the most popular garden shop.

Article Abstract:
Residents of the Old City are attempting to retain the unique spirit of one of Philadelphia's original neighborhoods. The area is being gentrified as the population grows and it becomes home to artisans, shops and restaurants.
