Article Abstract:

An investigation as to whether the effect of foreign aid on economic growth differs under different political regimes is one. Apparently, aid has no significant impact on the improvement of human rights and human development indicators, but it has some influence in reducing infant mortality.

An estimation of the rural to urban earnings gap is carried out separately for male and female migrants and the influence of the gaps on the migration decision of each gender from rural and urban earnings are also explored.
