Global simulations available through the Internet can be useful in foreign language teaching. Communication over the Internet offers advantages such as quality, efficacy and personalization of communication. Global simulations that involve role-playing at a virtual location can add a rich cultural environment to the electronic communications. Language learning is enhanced and enlived by their use. Article Abstract:
The strongest film in the 1998 Cannes Film Festival was 'Ceux qui m'aiment prendront le train' by Chereau. The Danes also made an impressive showing with their new cinema associated with the DOGMA collective. The breakdown of the family and of parental values was a predominant theme of this year's films, reflected in stories of abuse, incest and parental pedophilia. Article text is in French.
