Working women in Philadelphia, PA, excel in small business, law, the arts, the academe and nonprofit agencies. However, only a few of them advance in the male-dominated fields of medicine and politics. Of the 221 corporations in Philadelphia, only 28 of the 948 top positions are held by women. A list of the names of the 50 most influential women in the city is included.
