Biotransformation routes of octahydro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocine by municipal anaerobic sludge

Article Abstract:

Biotransformation of unidentified octahydro-1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocine (HMX) by unidentified anaerobic microorganisms produces formaldehyde, nitrous oxide, and nitroso products according to analysis of domestic sludge. Experimental methods, materials and results are described in detail.

Analysis of long-side-chain alkylaromatics in crude oil for evaluation of their fate in the evnironment

Article Abstract:

A separation method for crude oil components is developed. Alkylbenzothiophenes are found to be susceptible to photooxidation and biodegradaton while alkylbenzenes are found to be susceptible to biodegradation but resist photooxidation. Accompanying charts and graphs provide additional statistical data.
