AudiOh!: appropriation, accident and alteration
Article Abstract:
A sound artist and musician discusses three projects that explore the potentials within existing sound systems through appropriation, accident and alteration. In the installation 'Recorded Delivery,' a sound-activated tape recorder recorded sounds as it was sent through the post to the installation space at Acorn Self Storage; other projects involved creation of the Tri-Phonic turntable and development of eccentric and fragmented vinyl cutting techniques.
