Automated evaluation of material parameters of viscoplastic constitutive equations

Article Abstract:

The determination of the overstress dependence of the inelastic strain rate is a quick and safe method for the determination of the parameters of a special class of viscoplastic constitutive models. The parameter sets obtained by this method agree with those obtained by conventional numerical integration of the model differential equations. All the parameters are determined simultaneously by a gradient procedure from creep, tensile, and strain-controlled cyclic tests. The fits were analyzed at 700 degree celsius for AISI 316L for the viscoplastic models of Robinson, Chaboche, and Walker.

Constitutive equations for commercial-purity aluminum deformed under hot-working conditions

Article Abstract:

Examination of several stress-strain curves for commercial-purity aluminum using a rational method helps develop a group of constitutive equations for elucidating the flow stress of materials as a function of straining rate, applied strain and deformation temperature. The analysis couples the steady-state creep data-derived exponential relationship and exponential saturation strain-hardening function and employs only seven material constants that include four stress sensitivity parameters. The model data agree well with experimental results.

Multiaxial constitutive behavior of ferroelectrics materials

Article Abstract:

Multiaxial ferroelectrics constitutive laws governing the behavior of ceramic lead zirconate titanate (PZT) are needed for numerical calculations of stress and electric field in the vicinity of field concentrators such as cracks, inhomogenetis and partial electrodes. An experimental basis for the development of multiaxial constitutive laws for ferroelectrics ceramic materials is provided.
