Ecolabeling: Swedish style
Article Abstract:
The Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC) together with Swedish retailers organized the 'Good Green Buy' environmental labeling program in 1989. The program allows manufacturers to display the 'Good Green Buy' logo on their products if these comply with the environmental safety standards set by the SNCC. Products targetted by the SNCC include detergents, bleaches, shampoos, diapers and sanitary napkins.
