Cellular mechanisms of neuronal population oscillations in the hippocampus in vitro
Article Abstract:
In vitro theta (4-12 Hz), gamma/beta (15-70 Hz) and very fast oscillations (VFO) (>70 Hz) are considered. A study of in vitro oscillations may provide clues to cellular mechanisms of invivo oscillations as well as lead to discoveries that are possible significant in functions other than oscillations.

The actin cytoskeleton: Integrating form and function at the synapse
Article Abstract:
The functional importance of cytoskeleton to the mechanisms of synaptic transmission and synaptic plasticity is examined. The high degree of morphological dynamics exhibited by synapses portrays the integration of synapse form and function.
