Article Abstract:
The recent Scottish Business Survey brought out at the beginning of 1995 indicates a long awaited bright phase for the engineering industry. Around 43 percent of the firms which participated in the survey are optimistic about business. The Fraser of Allander Institute at the University of Strathclyde which has been taking care of the mechanical engineering sector also favors the optimistic mood. It stated that the engineering industry had become sophisticated and specialized for the sake of sustaining themselves.
