The Turner Contemporary, a museum that will commemorate the English painter, J.M.W Turner would be located in the sea, and its design is based as much on shipbuilding techniques as on conventional principles of structural engineering. This building project is worth dollars 27 million and will be completed by 2007.

Korean bridge/tunnel to join island to mainland

Pusan, South-Korea's second largest city and the island of Koje-do will have the longest and deepest ever constructed immersed tube tunnels in the world. The tube tunnel will have a length of 3.5 kilometers and a depth of 45 meters, the construction of which will begin by 2005.
