Multiaxial cyclic ratcheting in coiled tubing-- experimental program and model evaluation, part II

Article Abstract:

Results show that reversal of cyclic ratcheting is independent of mean stress reversal suggesting that diametral growth of coiled tubing can be monitored by following diametral shrinkage. Data further point out that plastic deformation of coiled tubing is governed by the load history.

A self-consistent model for the inelastic deformation of nanocrystalline materials

Article Abstract:

The behavior of nanocrystalline F.C.C materials is described with the help of a self-consistent scheme. The model is able to successfully predict the early stages of deformation and also the breakdown of the Hall-Petch law.
