Dancing with caribou: autumn on the barren grounds
Article Abstract:
The landscape on the shores of Whitefish Lake, four hundred kilometers east of Yellowknife are known as barren grounds, but in the autumn it is filled with life and color. The caribou passing through this area are part of the Beverly herd and remain inland year-round.
