Scientists at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology have developed a self-assembled nanoelectronic component usings strands of DNA. A short strand of DNA was chemically bonded to two gold electrodes on a glass plate to weave microscopic particles of silver into electrically conducting wires.

World's largest dam
Article Abstract:
China's Three Gorges Dam project along the Yangtze River will be the largest dam in the world. It will span 6,860 ft. and will include a power station and a ship lock. The construction of the dam, however, will destroy 62,000 acres of farm land, 13 cities and 140 large towns.
