Exploding the self-esteem
Article Abstract:
Governor George Deukmejian set up a task force on self-esteem and personal and social responsibility to raise self-esteem in young people to reduce crime, teen pregnancy, drug abuse, school underachievement and pollution. Among other findings some suggest that artificially boosting self-esteem may lower subsequent academic performance.

The U.S. citizens spend a huge sum of money on health care. The need of a system that will ensure that people pay only for what works and is used for them is emphasized.
