Stone Age horse found in 'lost' valley
Article Abstract:
French explorer Michel Peissel has discovered an ancient breed of horse in Tibet that may be the Stone Age ancestor of all modern equines. The horse has been called the Riwoche, named after the remote valley where it was found. It stands about one-meter high, has tan-colored coat, stripes on its back and legs and a triangular head. Peissel believes the horse is the same horse depicted in cave paintings in the Lascaux Cave, France. Equine experts are analyzing the horse's blood samples to verify its lineage.

A radical response to the environmental litigation problem
Article Abstract:
The present system for funding environmental cleanup is claimed to be highly inefficient because of the imbalanced ratio between money spent on litigation and the cost of the actual cleanup. An alternative to the problem is being proposed in the form of the Joint Environmental Response Insurance Pool. These involve the use of money that is presently being wasted on high transactional costs as premiums to pay for the risk that the restoration costs will surpass the estimated baseline level.
