Galactic building blocks found?
Article Abstract:
Astronomers using the Hubble Space Telescope have observed dim clumps of stars they believe may be the first evidence of building blocks of a new galaxy. The clusters, about 1500 light-years in width, all registered the same red shift, indicating they are close enough together to form a galaxy.

Some physicists are calling for modifying or dropping the physics GRE as a factor in graduate school admission. Critics maintain the test does not accurately measure physics talent and that it discriminates against women and minority students.
