Macroaggregates of soil have been studied to induce and maintain good structure of farm lands by improving the nitrogen and nutrient cycles of plants. Macroaggregates also increase the resistance of plants against leaching through the help of fungi and nematodes.

A survey of college freshmen and anecdotal reviews from educators and school administrators showed that misconceptions about a subject determine the students' attitude toward the subject, the greater the misconception, the greater the rejection of the subject.
