Growth and survival signals controlling sympathetic central nervous system development
Article Abstract:
The developmental events experienced by post-mitotic postganglionic sympathetic neurons are discussed. Proximal and peripheral axon extension, target-controlled neuron survival and death, dendrite formation and growth, synaptogenesis and acquisition of phenotypic heterogeneity are the factors involved in the migration and specification of sympathetic neuron.
