How parasitic wasps find their hosts

Article Abstract:

Parasitic wasps find the caterpillars in which they lay their eggs by learning to detect specific chemicals in caterpillar feces and in plants on which caterpillars feed. Wasps' ability to learn and the interaction they show with plants can be used to control caterpillar pests in agriculture.

Breeding snail fever: Three Gorges Dam boosts parasitic infections
