Researchers are developing methods of using the immune system to fight cancer. Antibodies can destroy cancer cells or serve as delivery systems for toxic agents such as chemotherapeutic drugs. The disadvantages of immunotherapy include an increased risk of autoimmune diseases.

Insights into shock
Article Abstract:
Low blood pressure, which reduces the delivery of blood to tissues, may cause shock, and may also prove to be fatal. A hormone, vasopressin, known to prevent bleeding of esophageal blood vessels is found to be helpful in the treatment of shock.

Immunotherapy for cocaine addiction
Article Abstract:
A new tack in the control of cocaine addiction calls for the breakdown of the cocaine molecule in the bloodstream into inert molecules. The cocaine molecule is broken down by catalytic antibodies, making withdrawal from the drug easier.
