Laboratory investigation of the migration of hydrocarbons in organobentonite

Article Abstract:

This study undertakes the evaluation of organobentonite for the lining of gasoline storage tanks in its use as an effective material to retard the transport and prevent the advective migration of hydrocarbons. The study was conducted by the Department of Civil Engineering, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

A novel approach for the in-situ chemical elimination of chrysolite from asbestos-containing fireproofing materials

Researchers from the W.R. Grace and Co. developed a method to destroy chrysolite asbestos chemically in gypsum-vermiculite fireproofing using foam spray method.
