Learning processes features: how do they influenceinter0firm differences in technological capability- accumulation paths and operational performance improvement? [1]

Article Abstract:

The extent of influence of the underlying learning processes, on the paths of technological capability-accumulation and, in turn, operational performance improvement is examined. The study suggests that the rates of technological capability accumulation and operational performance improvement can be accelerated if deliberate and effective efforts on knowledge-acquisition and knowledge-conversion processes are made within the company.

Two simple models are offered to understand the contributions and various inter-relationships between the technology management concepts underlying the management of high-tech organization. Accordingly, the Corporate Diamond model uncovers the strong relationships with between the key concepts in technology management that comprises of leadership, learning, managing resources and developing successful new products and services.
