How Banks Weigh Letter of Credit Request

Article Abstract:

Almost sixty percent of construction revenue raised last year by America's hospitals came from long-term tax- exempt bond issues. New methods including the variable rate demand bond (VRDB) are more short term. The major requirement for this financing is a letter of credit issued by a commercial bank. Exhibit one synopsizes how banks generally evaluate letter of credit requests. These letters of credit are an important tool in healthcare financing.

Oil for technology: blueprint for Mexico's development

Article Abstract:

By the year 2000 a large majority of the Mexican population should be enjoying a standard of living similar to that of a Western European country in the year 1980. The major contributor to this growth will be revenues from the oil industry. As Mexico moves from a raw materials economy to a capital-goods-producing economy the standards for national independence can be achieved.

Life as a monkey

Article Abstract:

Observations of Venezuelan primate wildlife are recounted. The natural forest habitat is described, along with its importance to a wide variety of plants and animals. Monkey behaviors observed include foraging, feeding, traveling from tree to tree and first attempts by infants at maneuvering on their own.
