Nanodimensional organostannoxane molecular assemblies

Article Abstract:

Organooxotin cages, clusters and coordination polymers containing Sn-O units were assembled by the reactions of organotin precursors with phosphonic, phosphinic, carboxylic or sulfonic acids. These assemblies contain a central stannoxane core and a functional periphery which can be readily modulated to assemble photoactive, electroactive or multisite coordinating molecules.

Polychromophoric metal complexes for generating bioregulatory agent nitric oxide by single- and two-photon excitation

Article Abstract:

The article discusses the synthesis and photochemistry of a series of polychormophoric metal complexes that are capable of generating the bioregulatory compound, nitric oxide by single- and two-photon excitation. These materials are found to be widely used in several applications, including the manufacturing of the photochemical drugs.

Ligands for practical rhodium-catalyzed asymmetric hydroformylation

Article Abstract:

A study evaluates a series of bis-phosphite and bis-phosphine ligands for asymmetric hydroformylation reactions. It is found that bis-phospholane-type ligands lead to very high regio- and enantioselectivities for different substrates.
