Neo-contingency analysis of recruitment and selection: An Anglo-French study of high-tech and mid-tech vs. low-tech firms
Article Abstract:
An Anglo-French study is conducted on high-tech and mid-tech vs. low-tech firms with regards to technology, culture, and recruitment. The analysis reports suggest that technology in terms of IT is not a competitive advantage for a company and the high, low and mid-tech companies around France and Britain have employees working in intensive technology firms who need a creative and adaptive approach, so that they can cope with the actual business environment demands.

An analysis of human resource (HR)-based innovations in Canada reveals that characteristics of 'new' HR management practices include committment to training, contingent compensation, teams and pay-for-knowledge. The study also reveals that the systems' begin with corporate strategy, proceed to HR strategy, HR practices, interviewing processes, interim outcomes and end with final outcomes.
