Power on site
Article Abstract:
On-site combined heat and power (CHP) plants are gaining converts in the UK. They are most practical when power is needed 24 hours a day, at least five days a week. Conventional power generators waste 70% of the power produced as waste heat; CHP plants use the heat directly or for ancillary purposes, wasting only 20%. CHP units range from 30 kW to hundreds of megawatts; a 500 kW plant suffices for most sites.

Deet impact
