Rock art in Southern Africa

Article Abstract:

Rock paintings that were discovered in Southern Africa belong to societies that existed a thousand years ago and vividly describe the local culture, flora and fauna and customs. The artwork reveal that the societies believed that animals were once human and that men and women were created equal.

An interesting place to visit in Canada for adventurous eco-tourists is the Mazinaw Rock at the Bon Echo Provincial Park in Ontario. Aside from its geological beauty and rich wildlife, Mazinaw Rock also has deep cultural significance to the Algonkian Indian tribes that used to inhabit the area.

Incident at Black Rock

Article Abstract:

Breedlove attempted to break the sound barrier on land with his 44-foot long car, 'Spirit of America,' powered by a modified J-79 General Electric aircraft engine. Breedlove was a second away from passing the speed of 700 mph but had to slow down when his car began to malfunction.
