Shoebox-Sized Space Probes Take to Orbit
Article Abstract:
Technological advancements have led to the production of space satellites that are very small and extremely lightweight. These nanosatelites are relatively inexpensive to make, which fits with the government's attempts to reduce spending in space exploration. NASA hopes to start using the small satellites early in the new millennium.

Follow up on findings, panel tells NASA
Article Abstract:
An National Research Council panel will recommend that NASA give priority to launching instruments for further study of the breakthrough astronomical discoveries of recent years. Priority areas would include early-universe galaxies, cosmic microwave background, extra-solar planets and black holes.
