Technological assets accumulation and organisational structure in Spanish telecommunications equipment manufacturing companies: a case study

Article Abstract:

The relationship between organizational structure and the accumulation of technological assets in Spanish telecommunications equipment manufacturing companies is analysed. The results help determine conclusions regarding vertical and horizontal specialization, job formalization and the relation between R&D department and particularly the sales and production departments.

Application of integrated quality management systems to promote Cl and learning in R&D organisations

An improved understanding of the nature of Continuous Improvement (CI) in R&D organizations and to provide key concepts for analyzing CI practices within the scope of an Integrated Quality Management System is established. It is concluded that the CI process within R&D can have an influence at three levels: projects, process and strategic.
