Technology creation in the biotechnology sectors: the French connection

Article Abstract:

France is able to contribute and develop its biotechnology sector including genetic engineering, cell and tissue cultures, enzymology and protein synthesis despite underdeveloped scientific knowledge and poor collaboration between companies and scientific institutes. Inferences have been extracted based on the conditions behind the developments which can possibly be applied to other biotech developments.
