The case of the vanishing frogs

Article Abstract:

Scientists investigating the disappearance of the yellow-speckled mountain frog Rana muscosa from Sierra Nevada streams and ponds discovered that global frog populations are dramatically declining as well. They stress that the amphibians are declining even in undisturbed habitats such as Yosemite National Park. Their findings have raised concerns on whether the decline is an indication of a normal population cycle or a sign of a future environmental disaster that is yet to be perceived by man.
