The new Internet: audio, video, and animating technologies are making the once-static Web look more and more like interactive TV

The new Internet has evolved from being a static interface to the TV-like dynamic presentation complete with sound and motion. It has become capable of 3-dimensional projection, animation, virtual reality imaging, real-time transmission, audio transmission, and quick delivery of information.

Several technological innovations promise to speed-up Internet connections. Some of these include high-speed Web access via cable television wires, digital subscriber line and satellite services. These technologies will enable users to download Web pages faster than traditional modems.
